If your catapult isn't working after you program it it is probably because of the following:
- Your program wasn't written correctly.
- One of your motors is turning the wrong way.
- There is too much friction from the load.
The first two are easy to solve and you have dealt with them before. The third problem is what we need to go over. There are two things you must consider for this problem. First, what is the total load? If the arm of your catapult is too heavy, the engines won't be able to move it no matter what gear combination you use. Second, what is your gear ratio?
Remember in Sumobot we had a low gear ratio and this made the Sumobots strong pushers but slow movers. To increase the speed you had to increase the gear ratio by either putting a larger gear on the motor or a smaller gear on the axle. It's the same thing here. If your catapult is not working try either changing the gears to a lower ratio (the one I built on the example was very high) or reducing the length of the catapult arm to reduce the load.
Three things are going to influence how high on the target the ping-pong ball hits. How fast it is moving, the angle that the ball is released at, and how long the arm is (which will increase the force it has when thrown.)
Most of you have finished building your catapult but have not tested it yet. Remember these things as you are making your adjustments to your catapult. What problems have you had with your catapult? What adjustments have you made to these problems?

I had problems makeing the catapult when I had to put on the gears. And I had problems making the whole catapult but I finaly finished it.
A my me gusto mucho estar armando el trebuchet. me gusta mucho ase tmastre por que apremdo a teipiar mas pronto.
my problem is when the arm go up it wont stop so it brake apart. i put a thing in it and i programed it for 0.8 second so it stopped.

My catapult didnt want to work at first.I had to change the gears.Then we had to fix the motors.

imake the catapult smaller and it works later.
Our catipoul did not wanted to work on the first time but we though that the hand was to heiby and we maked maro skinier and now it work.
I have problem with the hand that I did it was to large.I have made adjustments making the hand more smaler.
