This week we have started learning how to do sketches. Sketches are important to engineers so that they can give people an image to go with what they are talking about. In addition to the image they can add measurements next to the image to identify the size. Sketches move through a natural progression when we are talking about engineering.
First, you have the thumbnail sketch. This is where you draw out the image you are thinking of keeping the proportions equal. The proportions are the length, width, and height of the object. If you don't keep them equal the sketch will not look right.
Second, you can add the perspective drawing. This drawing is like what you learn in Art. Where the lines that make the edges all point to a vanishing point. In other words, if you kept the line going they would cross at the same place. These pictures look like a photograph.
Third, you make the ISO drawing or isometric drawing. In an ISO drawing you see the front, side, and top of an object. Normally, each face would be at a 30 degree angle. In a cube the opposite edges, like the top and bottom of one face, would be parallel to each other. So in an ISO drawing you are combining Math and Art together.
Fourth, you make the orthographic drawing. This drawing is where you draw what the object looks like from the front, then the side, then the top. Each of these drawing's edges are lined up with each other. The top line on the front drawing is exactly even with the top line of the side drawing (as if it was just one line that had been erased in the middle.) The right side edge of the front drawing lines up with right side edge of the top drawing. This drawing also has strict guidelines for adding measurements and other things.
ISO's and ortho's are examples of drafting. When you think of blueprints and architectural elevations you are thinking of drafting drawings. Now that we have computers there is actually a fifth type of drawing. The CAD or Computer Assisted Drawing is where you draw the object in 3D or three dimensions. This makes it look like it would in real life.

i think that im doing a good job. i think it might be fun. it also could be hard. so thats what i think about the thumbnail and perspective sketches!
we seketch geometric parerns. And we draw a numver line. And i like this week because we yast draw
we scetch the geometric plat form that we hade to make like the squares but they see like iso
i am not doing so good on the thumbnail.because i have not even done it let.But im done with the perspective drawing.And i hope we can do more projects.
im bad at drawing the thumb nail sketches but im good anf the perspective sketches.
i am doing real good on my thumbnail skech the only hard part is the 3D PART

I think I did good on my perspective sketches. We did are skectches with gemeteric paterns.
The patern we used are cirler ,cube.

well in our class we did our thumbnail sketchs yesterday.we had to draw a cube,half cylinder,a roof-type thing triangle,and a cylinder.
im doing very well so far.im surprised i actually have an a in ur class lolz but ne wayz my thumbnail sketches are cumin out very gud i only have 2 more to do then im done with the pape sorri i broke ur triangle thing yesterday i didnt mean to

During the time that we have happened learning since to make a prism we are sharing mathematics, art and technology doing the drawing… also you need the exact measures to make a prism that you want that it is seen in three dimensions. It has to do much the angle that you use, the measures, if it beams with exactitude and you have idea than you want to do, you know the measures, your you can have a prism exactly as you wish your it and what these looking for. That serious one to do something that your you imagine in scale to which you want to do later. With this we learned much about measures and art.

en el prollecto acomodamos las cosas de madera para dibujarlas en la oja. ami se me iso mui dibertido por que solo teniamos que dibujar cuatro cosas y ai las teniamos de muestra. mister guislan nos dejo cambiarnos de lugar.tambien no isimos mucho por que no ubo clases lunes y martes. y seme ase un poco difisil por que no se ablar ingles.
