Now you've had your first taste of programming!!
Many of you are surprised because you didn't expect it to take so much effort. The thing you have to remember is that the robot, literally, can not do anything without being told. Every little thing about the motion has to be a seperate instruction. What to move, how long to move it, what to do when it's done. This takes a lot of instruction even to do a simple task. You should plan on five or six "icons" for each action that you want the robot to do. This makes some complex tasks like the challenge pretty long.
What we are doing is very, very simple! Imagine if you were trying to get the robot to drive a car. You would have to not only tell it how to make the car move and stop, and how fast and where to go, but how to react to changes in its path. What happens if the road is blocked or another car is going slower in front of it?
Many people don't realize just how complex a lot of things truely are. Just because we do them 'automatically' now, they forget how hard it was to learn them the first time.
Robots don't know how to do things and you have to tell them everything!!

I think is more better work with the senso. It is more interesting and can be more fun. congratulations Mrs.Geaslland
I do not like programing the robot. I had trouble gettin the program to work rite. I have not had any successes. I liked seeing the robots go. ;}
yeah it's really hard to learn what to do anytime that i get on i all ways foget how to do it butt it is fun sometime's if you don't foget how to do it.
programing the robots is hard but my partner does that I just make the robot go and stuff.No frustrations. Yes I had alot of sucses.
One day will the Japanese make a robot that will clean your house like in "The Jetsons". It would be cool it would make your food for you. Help you on your homework. Give you FREE cable!!!! That would be that awsomest robot ever.
last week was good but this weak is better, because the programing robots you can put more stuff thats better
these past weeks have been very fun because ive never have seen a robot well on cartoon but thats mostly it but i love seening them run ansd programing them it so cool i hope we will get to make more i was a little behind on the parts for the robots because i didnt really now the parts but i gave effort and than i made it in the end it was so cool.i hope every body else had fun too hopefully!!!!!!!!!:)
It's fun, I don't have any frustraitions. Every command has been a successful.
i thout it was easy to progrom it. i had a hard time to get the program into the robot!no i did not hav any successes......
i feel like i am controlling it and making it do everything i say.........me and my partner had to change some parts because we had the wrong ones.........yes i did have succeeded.
It is cool to write programs to my robot.Like make it go fort ande back,and make it not go pass a black line.
last week we had our robats runnig it cool becuse we program it to the computer after we program it on the computer it we will turned it on and it wold it on and it wold go it was rely rely fun and me and my parner had fun and cant wait tell we fight robat.
yea i think's fun doing the stuff to get ready and we already did the big race and it paid off i came in first in the race i got a candy bar thanks mr.gealand you help a lot.
